Hello! I am a Germany-based journalist/analyst covering Asian politics and economics as well as Asian business in Germany. I spent many years in Asia. Taipei, Taiwan, was the place I stayed the longest at. I studied Chinese language at a Taipei university and are able to take very deep dives into the region’s economic data. I am always happy to get on the phone to ask officials, academics, industry consultants and factory managers in Asia about things.

In June 2025 I published my first (German language) novel Fette Kois (fat koi). I am now traveling across Germany giving book readings.
